Meet Malia Chambliss
I've spent my whole career
with the strong one.
Former therapist, credentialed coach, wife, mom, and founder of The Novo Collective. This is why I do this work, and why I take it so seriously.
The room
For almost ten years,
I kept meeting the same woman.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I sat across from women in every season of life. Different names, different jobs, different zip codes. And over and over again, the same woman.
She was the strong one. She ran the house, the job, and the family group chat. Everybody called her when it fell apart. She could explain exactly why she says yes when she means no, why she shrinks a little around her mother, why she can't rest until everything is done. She had done the work. She knew.
And she still said yes. Then spent two weeks replaying it.
What she taught me
Knowing was never the problem.
Practice is.
That woman taught me the most important thing I know about this work. Insight matters, but insight alone doesn't change a Tuesday. She needed somewhere to take what she already understood and actually live it: in the conversation, the decision, the boundary, the calendar.
So I trained as a coach, earned my ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential, and built The Novo Collective around one idea: there comes a point when awareness isn't the work anymore.
Why I take it seriously
I know what it costs
to be left out of your own life.
I'm a wife, a mom, and an entrepreneur. I'm bold, I'm outspoken, and I have never had trouble saying what I think. And I still know what it's like to love my roles and need more room inside them. Having a voice and using it for your own life are two different things.
I've walked with more than 100 women through this work. I take every one of those stories seriously, because I know what's on the line: years of a life built around everyone else's comfort. I also know what becomes possible when a woman finally puts herself back in it.
How I work
Clinical depth.
Everyday language.
My background in Marriage and Family Therapy shapes how I see patterns: in context, in relationships, and in the roles we learn to carry. My coaching draws on solution focused and relational thinking. I listen for the sentence underneath your sentence, name the pattern in plain words, and help you take a real next step you can learn from.
My job is not to decide whether you should leave, stay, move, or begin again. It's to help you look at your life honestly and practice making decisions you can stand behind. You remain the person living your life. That's the point.

A clear distinction:
this is coaching.
My clinical background informs how I see things. It does not make House of Her therapy. Within Novo, I work as a coach. The membership is a place for reflection, decisions, boundaries, and real life practice. It does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions and does not replace clinical care.
